AMEC’s energy expertise in the North Sea
AMEC has been a major player in the North Sea for 40 years, providing a full range of asset development and asset support services from consultancy and design, right through to engineering, construction, installation, operations, maintenance, duty holder and decommissioning.

Our greenfield engineering expertise spans the last 50 years. AMEC has carried out thousands of oil and gas FEED studies in most of the major oil and gas producing regions of the world. Our reputation in the upstream and downstream market has been built on the ability to plan, manage and execute design, modernisation, replacement and modification work.

As an oil and gas region matures, a shift in emphasis occurs towards increasing hydrocarbon production and bringing outlying ‘satellite’ fields on-stream by utilising existing facilities. Refurbishment, overhauling, re-engineering and retrofitting may be required, all activities which fall into the category of brownfield engineering. AMEC has an enviable track record in safely delivering complex brownfield activities to the industry through projects and integrated services.

AMEC’s operations management capabilities are focused on offering a variety of flexible commercial and business models with the aim of extending asset field life through enhanced production, recovery and reduced operating costs. AMEC also provides comprehensive asset support services including comprehensive specialist shutdown/overhaul, maintenance, construction, tankage and special engineering services.
