In 1972, a small office manned with three people opened at an airport in Denmark. The Port of Esbjerg on the western coast of Denmark became the base for Blue Water Shipping. Through the perseverance of skilled staff, innovative management and strong beliefs in the shipping business, over the years, the company has expanded beyond the borders of Denmark and Europe. Today, Blue Water Shipping is represented worldwide with 54 offices in 26 countries.

Port Services & Agency covers base facilities, cargo handling and stevedoring as well as ship brokering services in any port worldwide.
General Cargo covers a wide range of industrial goods and material that require no special temperature controls or special equipment.
Reefer Logistics includes food and other products requiring temperature regulations.
Marine Logistics is the provision of freight and logistics services to the cruise and marine industry.
North Atlantic covers sea and air freight services between Europe and the North Atlantic countries of Greenland, Iceland and the Faroes.
