Devold® was founded in 1853, based on the idea of protecting people against the elements. Our first customers were fishermen and workers facing the harsh climate along the Norwegian coast. Today, more then 150 years later, our goal is still to make quality garments that withstand wear and tear. Devold®delivers high quality apparels, combined with functional and attractive design.
Devold® Protection develops soft and comfortable garments, designed to protect the users against cold, heat and flame. We do research, testing and trials to give the customers what they want: security for their employees. Our products have been tested and approved in accordance to European standards. Flame retardant underwear from Devold® Protection was as the first in Europe approved according with European standard – EN 531 (replaced by EN 11612) and the Swedish standard – EBR (the electric arc test). We were also the first that got the ENV 50354 (replaced by EN 61482-1-2) approval on natural fibre. Devold®Protection focuses on maintaining a high environmental profile throughout the production, and many of our products are Oeko Tex certified.
