This publication pays tribute to the inspiring history of the British oil and gas industry and to the technological innovations that have shaped it.
 
Across the North Sea: the oil age in the UK is divided into two sections: editorial, on the history and technology of the sector; and commercial, presenting many of the most important companies that have made it all possible. We sincerely hope you will find the editorial section interesting and useful. But even more important: we hope you will take note of the wealth of information on companies offering products and services that may be relevant to your needs. These are grouped into categories to help you find the most relevant companies as easily as possible.
 
The book is distributed free of charge throughout the world, and is available at a number of important trade fairs and conferences related to the offshore industry, notably SPE Offshore Europe (OE), Aberdeen, Scotland, and the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas. Across the North Sea is produced in cooperation with SPE Offshore Europe and will be available from Horn Publishing‘s stand as well as the stands of exhibitors that are represented within the publication.

Additional copies are available on request from Horn Publishing, which also publishes similar books on other European business sectors and industries.

OTC 2012 Houston

Horn Publishing attends the OTC conference in Houston each year to distribute North Sea Saga and to promote the participants in the book.

SPE Offshore Europe 2011

We are pleased to inform you of an overwhelmingly successful launch of Across the North Sea at SPE Offshore Europe 2011 through 6-8^th September!

As promised, Horn Publishing shipped 1000’s of copies for distribution and though the exhibition was kind enough to provide the service of re-stocking the shelves, we had to constantly pitch in ourselves to keep up with the intense demand! We did not bring a SINGLE COPY home! It was a pleasure to meet with many of you throughout the exhibition and we also met many new faces who are very keen to work with us on the second edition after recognising your company as a client/supplier/business partner and witnessing so many professionals taking your profile home with them.

For those of you we may not have met, we very much look forward to meeting you at the next opportunity. In the meantime, we are working hard on the exciting second edition ofAcross the North Sea: the oil age in the UK !!

Networking reception, British Embassy

Monday 19th September was the day of a high-profile networking reception at the British Embassy in Oslo between UK Trade & Investment, NOF Energy, British-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (BNCC), Norwegian Oil Industry Association and was host to a list of professionals from the leading oil & gas companies in Norway; including Statoil, Aker Solutions, Aibel and others. The topic was to discuss oil & gas exploration and opportunities throughout the North Sea and for UK companies to gain more recognition in the Norwegian sector.
Through its excellent relationships with NOF Energy and BNCC, Horn Publishing was present with Project Managers Daniel Middleton and Neill Flack and ample copies of 'Across the North Sea' and 'North Sea Saga'!
