C-CLASS VESSELS – AMONGST THE MOST ADVANCED IN THE WORLD
Fugro-Geoteam’s latest additions to the fleet, the C-class vessels, are designed to adhere to DNV Environmental class rules for CLEAN and CLEAN DESIGN that set strict limitations for emissions to air and sea. The vessels are built with double skin in the area of the fuel tanks and all operational arrangements allow for optimized settings during towing operations to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

These vessels have been designed to work worldwide in the most challenging offshore areas, and are capable of towing up to 16 solid streamers. Deck areas have been arranged to provide maximum working space and clear visibility and the decks and handling solutions throughout the vessels are optimized to provide a lower potential risk for personnel injury.

Each vessel is equipped with the latest in streamer control technology, which in combination with Fugro’s Fresnel Zone Binning approach, can position the streamers to optimize subsurface seismic coverage and minimize infill. Utilization of streamer control technology has also proven successful for 4D purposes, when working in obstructed areas, or when applying new acquisition techniques like shooting in turns or in fan-mode. Other benefits of the streamer steering include more efficient equipment deployment and recovery, and safer work boat operations due to improved streamer control.

VERSATILE EXPERIENCE AND GLOBAL REACH
Fugro-Geoteam has successfully acquired marine seismic data deploying up to 14 streamers in some of the harshest marine environments, such as Greenland, Chukchi Sea and Barents Sea as well as in areas with extensive fishing and shipping activity such as the Netherlands, Suez, the Straits of Hormuz, India and Japan.

Our versatile fleet of seismic vessels allows acquisition of towed streamer data using longer streamers in shallow water. Effective planning, Fugro’s pre-survey capabilities and special equipment onboard the vessels have enabled Fugro-Geoteam to acquire 3D towed streamer seismic data in water as shallow as 10 metres.

Fugro’s global Seismic Services network offers a complete range of acquisition, processing, imaging and interpretation solutions, to provide you with a comprehensive picture of the prospect and the challenges that it represents. Consider too that Fugro’s multi client database already contains 2D and 3D data from most of the world’s prolific hydrocarbon basins.
