More than 85 years of experience within deep sea transportation

Höegh Autoliners is a leading global provider of Ro/Ro transportation services. We operate around 60 PCTCs (Pure Car and Truck Carriers) in global trade systems and make about 3500 port calls each year.

Acting global – thinking local
Our philosophy is to be a global partner with local experience. We offer our customers a global network of Ro/Ro transportation services and the strength of an international company while we continue to develop to ensure that we have the required expertise in the market.

To ensure best possible service to our customers, we operate through local offices and dedicated agents around the world that offer our customers professional local competence and knowledge.

A flexible and modern fleet
Our modern fleet is designed for maximum flexibility in order to cater for a wide variety of cargo. We have experience in transporting everything from cars to buses, trains to helicopters and turbines to trucks. The current vessels offer up to 5.1 metres of free deck height and can handle cargo weighing up to 150 tonnes.

To meet our customers’ transportation and logistics requirements, we are in the process of updating the design of our vessels. In 2015 and 2016, we will take delivery of our New Horizon vessels. These will be some of the world’s largest PCTC vessels with 14 decks, covering an area of 71 400 m2 – the same area as 10 soccer fields, and a carrying capacity of 8500 car units. With a 250 tonnes capacity stern ramp, 22 tonnes capacity side ramp, 6.5 meter height on the main deck and five hoistable decks, this new design provides more operational flexibility.

The environment
We strongly believe in taking responsibility for the environment in which we operate and are taking measures to minimise our impact on the environment. Working with environmental issues is not only about finding excellent technical solutions, it is just as much about attitude and understanding.

Our main environmental challenge as a ship owning company is emissions to air. To meet this challenge, we are focusing our efforts on reducing our vessels’ fuel consumption, CO2, SOx and NOx emissions and the impact on the world’s ecosystem. The enhanced flexibility of our New Horizon vessels, the larger capacity and optimised hull and energy efficiency reduce the vessel’s environmental impact.
